A traditional unfiltered Bavarian wheat beer with aromatic hints of banana and clove. This beer is made with up to 50% wheat malt instead of all malted barley, which lends a lighter note. It is deep gold in color with a very low hop bitterness level and a dense head of white foam.

Mediocre hefe. Suitable for the style but I prefer more of the banana from the yeast esters. I don't think I'd try it again, but it isn't terrible if you are in a pinch

Deep yellow in the glass with a robust but short-lived foam. Lively carbonation in the mouth. Quite hazy with sediment in the bottle. Some perfumey and citrus aromas with clove in the nose. Sudsy and silky mouthfeel.
Richly flavored and tangy. A mouthful of malt with plenty of spice. More clove than banana. A little more spiced up than it needs to be. More coarse than most Hefeweizens. Still, it's a load of flavor and it would do well with food. Not a hint of hop flavor, but that scratchy yeasty bitterness give it an edge.
From the 12 oz bottle bought at AJ's Fine Foods in Phoenix.

On tap at Brewery & Grill in Sedona.
Cloudy yellow-golden color with a small but durable white head that leaves some spotty, sticky lacing.
Served with lemon wedge that was gingerly removed before tasting.
Aroma: banana, clove , yeast, bready light malts, wheat.
Flavor: the aromatic components are all present, along with a clear note of lemon (see above). A bit light in both flavor and feel for style, but not, IMP, to its detriment.
O: Unflawed, moderately refreshing, but weak finish and aftertaste.
Medium-light body; proper carbonation.
