Black. Beautiful foam, light brown.
Intense smell, caramel, roasted, a salty hint, liquorice, coffee and chocolate, vanilla.
Very smooth taste, chocolate, some wood notes.
Maybe not comletely well rounded, but very interesting.

Shared 500 ml bottle. Very dark brown to black colour, beige head. Nice malty sweetish aroma, notes of Danish pastry and brown bread with syrup. Malty flavour too, with the same elements. Slightly warming mouthfeel.

Pours opaque dark brown with a small to medium light khaki head that is creamy and has good lacing. Nose is light, with subdued licorice, chocolate, and coffee. Flavor is a bit more pronounced with greater roasted character. Retains licorice from nose with a bit of chocolate, beer leans more towards roasted malts. Light astringency. Overall, a pretty good beer.
