This is my first marzen style beer, ao with that being said I cant rate it for the style so this is all just my opinion.

Appearance - This beer pours a clear copper with a couple fingers of off white head, looks like decent carbonation.

Aroma - the smell is of nuts, toffee, I get that classic molson coors tin smell, and some floral hops.

Taste - nuts burnt toffee, brown sugar, again that classic metal, floral hops bitter it on the finish.

Feel - light and watery, some prickly carbonation. Mild bitterness that lingers on the finish.

Overall - this had a lot more potential to be a good beer had the flavors and aromas come together differently, also molson coors really need to get rid of that metalic taste as it can be offputting. Overall this is an ok beer if you just want a stronger lager than bud to down a few witj friends. Otherwise its a no go for me.

Clean golden and inviting look with Sweet caramel scent and malts yet not too unique
Taste of caramel malt bitterness. Feel is Flat and somewhat bitter after. Overall I can get a hint of the style but it does not hit the mark of genuine oktoberfest in Bavaria.

Amber color with a big off-white persistent head with light wisping. Sadly, that was the best part of the beer. Metallic aroma with a bit of toast. The flavor has an unpleasant tinny character with a moderate bitterness. The malt expected from the style is disappointingly lacking, and the overall drinkability is poor. I would not have another one even if it was free.

Single bottle poured into a nonic. A sparkling and fizzy orange copper hue with a thin film of white bubbles dappled along the surface of the brew. Smell evokes oily burnt nuts and brittle toffee, little in the way of fruity notes or hop aroma. Maybe a floral ghost lurks in there somewhere. Palate is similar. Not subtle by my reckoning, with the aforementioned oily nut bitterness dominating the proceedings. Not particularly sweet (the aroma is misleading). I get little of the caramel from the nose and oddly enough a robust grassy hop note that is missing from the olfactory impression! A "young beer" apple flavor becomes more apparent as the beer warms up along with some golden raisin. Someone got this one all wonky. Grainy and astringent. My bottle could be rather old although my impressions here seem to jibe with those of others. Body is on the thin side of the middle distance with a little chew. The mouthfeel might be the part these guys actually got right here. The caramel sweetness does emerge over time but never does quite enough to save the show. If I had to guess, too much Munich malt and not enough attention paid to the subtle details that can make this style quite great. A clear pass should I encounter this again.

Purchased at the LCBO for around $2.50 for a 473ml can. Served at 4deg C in a draught glass

A- Opens well and pours a good head. Nice and light brown. Filtered

S- Pretty good caramel here. That's about it

T- A hum. Caramel. Burnt nuts. Not so good

F- Burnt and bland.

O- Not that good. Will not buy again

Food Pairing

This ok beer goes well with.... Potato chips. Just to get it down LOL

Enjoy

Can: Poured a light amber color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of grainy caramel malt notes with light dry notes. Taste is also dominated by light grainy malt notes with some caramel malt noticeable and a dry finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Malt bill is not as clean as I would have expected for the style.
