Loaded with even more delicious sourwood honey from the crazy talented Bryan Fisher. This was the best honey we have tasted from him; probably the best honey ever honestly. The beer is complimented from a tad more honey malt compared to last year and the result adds some color to the beer and the honey comes through so nicely. Double dry-hopped with Simcoe, Falconers Flight, El Dorado, and Citra. Lightly bitter and a bit more dry than our typical hazy IPAs but highly aromatic and deliciously fruity.

I am trying a can of this beer at my bestie's house in Charlotte, NC. It poured a hazy golden with thin white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had a mix of honey and hops. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright sweet malt base with honey and citrus hop presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Honey Drip from High Branch Brewing. Received 10/8/20 from @nc41 in BIF 12. Reviewed 10/28/20.
Undated 16 oz can. Stored at home at 42 degrees and served at 45 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 56.8 degrees.
Appearance – 4.
First pour – Pale straw (SRM 2), clear
Body – Straw (SRM 3), murky and opaque. When held to direct light, same.
Head – Large (Maximum 5.5 cm, aggressive center pour), off-white, high density, average retention, diminishing to a four to thirteen mm jagged crown with a thin complete cap. Second pour produces a tight one cm head.
Lacing – Fair. A series of thin prominences arc around my glass.
Aroma – 3.75 – Floral and slightly dank hops - no malt, no yeast.
Flavor – 4 - Slightly bitter and a bit dank and resiny. No malt, no yeast. No alcohol (7.4 % ABV, as marked on container) taste or aroma. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. .
Palate – 4 – Medium, almost chewy, soft but lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.75 (After deducting 0.25 point for undated can). Looks like your average NEIPA, tastes like a weaker version of Weyerbacher’s Double Simcoe. Not picking up any honey. Still enjoyable and very drinkable.
