Just in time for the fall weather, we present our iteration of an Oatmeal Stout. A bit on the high end coming in at 7.5% ABV but it's just right for relaxing during these cool nights. We aged the coffee after completion on a Columbian origin coffee bean that was roasted by Concord’s own Mello Coffee Roasters. Smooth, chocolate and roasty with a slightly sweet finish.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark chestnut brown + dark cola brown + dark amber colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall creamy foamy tan head that reduces to a small to medium sized patch of thin film covering a little more than 20% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of roasted + toasted + chocolate + caramel + oat malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate aromas of freshly brewed coffee. Light aromas of earthy hops.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of roasted + toasted + chocolate + caramel + oat malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of freshly brewed coffee. Finally there is a light flavor of earthy hops. There is a just shy of moderate amount of roasty bitterness which slowly fades away leaving light chocolate + roasted coffee flavors lingering.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth, almost creamy.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. Enjoyable flavors of coffee + chocolate and a pleasantly roasty + chocolate flavor that lingers.
