Kolshes have become one of my go to styles when out for a meal or a quick drink. Had this via can at a local watering hole and nothing about it reminded me of the style. It was more of an AAL. Wasn't crisp. No touch of sweetness or that delicious malty backbone that I normally get. Disappointed.

A: Pours a clear medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and faint bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy white head that quickly reduces to a small to medium sized patch of very thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of bready + biscuit malts with a slight hint of grainy sweetness. Light aromas of spicy + herbal hops.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of bready + biscuit malts with a slight hint of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of spicy + herbal hops which impart a light to moderate amount of aggressive bitterness which lingers through the finish.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp with a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a crisp refreshing finish to the mouthfeel. Enjoyable and pair nicely with just about any food.
