Our first bourbon barrel-aged barleywine. This beer was lad to rest in freshly dumped Willet barrels. These beautiful barrels held this highly coveted bourbon for years prior to us filling them with our barleywine. Patience has resulted in a beautiful beer we think you will enjoy. We get notes of caramel, toffee, marshmallow, oak and smooth bourbon. This beer is a wonderful expression of Munich malt sourced in NC for @carolinamalthouse. Sometimes the same old beer can become something amazing with love and time.

Poured from bottle on release day. Deep copper color. Smell is sweet malts with some caramel. Flavor is somewhat astringent when cold at first sip. Settles down as it warms. Thin bodied for a BW. This is almost like an American and English BW blend. Overall this is decent, but not great.
