The next imperial stout in "The One" series, this time with coconut. We wouldn't consider it a "pastry stout" but "The One" we felt could showcase different ingredients well. We mashed a wide variety of grains, used all of the thickest and most flavorful first runnings, and boiled the stout for many hours. After fermenting, the beer was aged on a mix of toasted and raw coconut.

Poured from bottle on day of release. Deep brown, opaque. Smell is roasted malts. Taste is heavy chocolate, but I get nearly zero coconut. Great taste, but not what is advertised here. Very thick mouthfeel.
