We’re starting up a new project to aid us and you in learning about IPAs. Whatcha Know About Little Citra is our first in the series, a showcase of one of our favorite hops. As we continue this series, we will focus on hops, their flavors, and how they affect the beer by how they are used in the process. This first IPA (little) is solely produced with Citra Hops (both in the kettle and in the dry hop), it was singularly dry hopped at the end of fermentation. Next time time around the beer might be Mosaic, or Simcoe, something new, or a combination of hops, but the base recipe wont change.

This beer is a beautiful crusher that has a full body and mouthfeel from the addition of oats and wheat. We get notes of citrus, light lime, and tropical fruits with a hint of bubble gum on the back end. If you ever wanted to learn about Citra and what it can taste like this is for you.
