Is it cold IPA, India Pale Lager, or IPA? We might rub some people the wrong way here but were just calling it an IPA. Fermented with lager yeast, a heavy dose of hops in the whirlpool and dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe. We took a lot of influence from our Hazy IPAs to create this super clear, super crisp, infinitely drinkable hoppy beer. Don't worry its not overly bitter but full of hop flavor and aroma.

A: Pours a clear pale to medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate peach + apricot + honey + caramel + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense sudsy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/passionfruit + herbal + pine/resin hops over the top of moderate aromas of bready + biscuit malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. There are also light aromas of lager yeast.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of bready + biscuit malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by very light flavors from the lager yeast. Finally there are moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/passionfruit + herbal + pine/resin hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which lingers for a short amount of time and then fades away.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp with a light to moderate amounts of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a very pleasantly crisp + dry mouthfeel. Refreshing and enjoyable - I like the presence of hop flavors and aromas with only a light amount of bitterness though not the overly sweet juicy citrus/tropical/fruit aspects. This is my first Cold IPA - definitely an interesting combination of an IPA and an IPL with interesting aspects from each.,
