A pleasant drive through the country from Hamilton down to Nixon to visit New Limburg Brewery and pick up some brews. The label for this and the other brews are works of art.
L: Pale and orange hued. Pours a generous white head subsiding to a thick foam collar with persistent head on the surface.
S: It has a floral nose with a rye spiciness coming through. Underlying orange/citrus tones.
T: Peppery rye-type spiciness. Not overly hoppy for an IPA (contrary to the times with barrels of hops defining the style). Dry hop finish with alcohol warmth. Subdued malt backbone.
F: Medium carbonation across the tongue. Dry, astringent feel in the mouth.
O: I liked this beer better on the patio in the late afternoon sun than here at home. Different from the American IPA with a more floral than citrus character.
I look forward to trying some of the other offerings from this brewery.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
