Notes: Cloudy brown body. Chunks of yeast can be seen in suspension. Limited white head. Label marked by hand "GEN 16 02" Aroma is malty, fruity. Flavor is tart... not quite sour, perhaps just from the yeast. Fruity like apple, grape, plum. Caramelish malt, medium dark. No real hop flavors, although herbal, leafy, and grassy. Surprisingly bitter at at least 45 IBUs, and I believe around 70 or so. Astringent. Dry, very bitter finish. I fear I may have simply received a bad bottle as no proper brewer would sell a beer in this condition.
