12 oz. can poured into tall tulip
L: gold to dark gold with plenty of amber in it, not quite copper but getting there; small head of offwhite foam about 1/4-inch thick, keeps a nice fluffy collar of offwhite foam and most of a skin; some sticking and lacing
S: sweet grapefruit juice, bubble gum ... as it warms it gets super sweet; hint of sour cream or yogurt; it's so sweet about 1/3 of the way into the glass that it smells like nothing else I've come across in the beer world ... it's more like a peach cheesecake or cherry cheesecake smothered in cherry sauce or cherry syrup
T: cloyingly sweet with a hint of greenish, citrusy hop flavor; so sweet it tastes a lot like the corn syrup used in sodas, thick and artificial
F: heavy but well carbonated and definitely the highlight of the beer
O: the can description says this beer has milk sugar in it, and there is no doubt ... it's super sweet and at times comes off as a pseudo-hop soda; Blackwater Draw makes plenty of good stuff, so I won't hold this one against them, but this beer is pretty awful ... it tastes like what I imagine malt liqour tastes like, which is diesel mixed with tons of sugar; I hate to give this beer a poor score because BWD generally makes such solid beer, but unless you want a milk IPA, this beer is not for you
