Bottle from BevMo-Santa Rosa. Brewed & bottled by Dukes in Diamond Springs, CA. Contract? Likely.Medium golden with soft skin of head, kind of flat. Faint malty, grainy aroma, light fruit, plums. Taste is even more subdued, almost watery. Weak. Kind of sweet, and then nothing. Very disappointing.

1-L bottle poured into Weizen glass.
A: Pours a cloudy amber/honey color with lots of carbonation throughout bod, and a big-ass white head.
N: Malty nose that smells of biscuit and banana with a touch of lemon/unripe orange peel.
T/M: Lemon and biscuit...mostly lemon. Body is limp--not much carbonation (despite its initial appearance), and not much thickness. It tastes like a bottle of home-brew...gone bad...with lemon in it....very not good.
I could not finish this beer, which was too bad. It was the first beer I have ever poured down the drain. Thankfully, the 1-L swing-top bottle will live again in service to my home-brew.

1L bottle purchased at BevMo in Vacaville. It looked interesting and i hadn't heard of the brewing company. Pours a normal looking brown, fairly clear, with rising bubbles and a short white head. Smells vaguely tart, with notes of apples, ethanol and a disconcerting sourness. Taste is an initial burst of tartness, very unusual for the style. Falls off the a dry lactic sour malt flavor with a wheaty body and distinct alcohol burn on the finish. Tartness and harshness of the alcohol were overwhelming and offputting. Nothing like any weizenbock ive ever had. Pretty gross, actually. I poured out a good bit of the bottle, which was a shame considering how big it was.
