Dark brown color with an espresso like head. Aroma has dark malts, roasted and peated notes, some charcoal and some chocolate in the background. Taste is bittersweet and roasty with burnt wood, charcoal, crushed coffee beans, raosted barley, quite bitter on the finish. Medium plus body, really smooth, silky mouthfeel. Although it has the obvious peated notes, it's still a well balanced beer with a nice background sweetness along the bitter roastiness.
