Copenhagen 11/4 2020. 50 cl bottle from Voldby Købmandsgaard webshops. Drawing of some poor brewers about to be swallowed by some maritime monster on the label.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong odor af smoked peat and sugary sweetness. Smoked malts, saltwater, tar. Brown sugar and black coffee. Watered down single malt whisky.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger peaty, saltiness. Aftertaste is salty and bitter-ish. Lingers for a while.
Quite light and a bit thin. More a smoked beer than a porter. And a decent specimen of that.
