Slightly hazy dark golden color. Little head. Aroma is citrus with a hint of grassy-ness. Slightly bitter taste with a light mouthfeel followed by citrus and a moderate finish. A decent session IPA, but not remarkable.

12 oz can poured into a pint glass, an orangeish brown and slightly hazy with a one finger head that quickly dissipates. The aroma is piney and floral with wafts of grain/bread. The flavor is right in line, maybe a splash of blueberry notes? The feel is standard for session, medium amount of carbonation and on the lighter side. Definitely sessionable and worth a try In the heat.

Purchased at Blufton Trading Post on my way into Hilton Head. Poured into a tall rocks glass. A orangish yellow, hazy but not northeast IPA-like, with a white head that dwindles to a thin layer. A nice bit mellow orange/grapefruit/blossom aroma. Comes with an average strength herbal bitterness which sits on top of a stronger brown bread faintly sweet maltiness. Medium body and a dry finish. A nice session IPA with its fault being the malty heaviness that, even though the ABV is under five, still makes it a bit of a heavier more filling beer.
Note that my review is very different than the other much older reviews. Did the brewer change the formula?

Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 12 oz. can into an El Catador Barrel-Aged glass.
A: Pours a very hazy gold, with quite a bit of visible carbonation. Forms a 1 1/2 finger's worth of white fluffy head with amazing retention for style. While maybe a bit hazier than expected (while still not turbid), this is pretty.
S: Orange-forward citrus, mild resin. White bread malts with a mild graininess. The aroma is disappointing.
T: Bitter citrus pith, with resin and grassy hops as well. A hefty presence of two row pale malts with a mild husk character. There's a fairly significant bitterness in the hang for a "Session" IPA - citrus pith and alpha bitterness.
M: A fairly heavy body for a "Session" IPA. Carbonation sensation on the low side, and alcohol presence seems about average.
O: This was disappointing. I had some pretty decent hoppy beers on tap at the brewery. But this is a simplistic and bitter beer with a boring (as well as diminished, bordering on absent) hop profile and dry hopping schedule. This is a segment of beer that is so crowded that even good examples have difficulty inspiring repeat purchases (or consumptions). And as such, there’s absolutely no reason to pick this up. It isn’t undrinkable, but I see no reason to drink it.

A very mediocre Session IPA. Looks pretty good. Poured a hazy gold color from a 12 oz can into a pint glass, with a good size foamy white head. Head retention is good and there was some lacing on the glass. Very faint aroma, a little hoppy bitterness and some dry, biscuity malt. Taste was more of the same, fairly weak flavor - a little malt/a little hops. Not much else. Mouthfeel is a bit light and watery. Some degree of crispness and the bitterness manages to show itself at the end. However, too little too late. There are much better summer thirst quenchers out there!!!!

Sampled this local brew while on vacay in HHI. Maybe I got a bad batch or it was improperly transported. Way too much foam. Taste was OK, but the carbonation was overwhelming my perception.

Horrible......The smell is very similar to the Tropical lager.....there is a common spice used in both beers.......quite honestly is could be the same beer with some added coloring to make it more copper than its tropical lager brother. I'm still pissed that the can erupted upon opening....and no the can was not shook. This beer is so far away from a sessionable IPA I really don't know what to write. If your looking for a decent IPA.....stay away from this one.

Pours a light Amber. Very clear with an off white head that retains well. Scent is of citrus and band aids. The flavor is overrun with a very strong and evident wild yeast contamination. Somewhat thin and spritzy mouthfeel. Unpleasant in nearly all regards due to the contamination. Unfortunate, but a very clear and evident issue that has been noticed in multiple cans.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 oz can on August 11, 2015. Look is clear gold, medium head and some thin lacing. Smell is tropical fruit and bread. Taste is bitter hops and yeast. Feel is light and a little dry.
