Robust Session Porter. Domestic Pale malt, Flaked Oats, along with toasted and roasted malts from the UK and Germany define the rich, and sturdy base of this beer. Pronounced notes of coffee, burnt sugar, and baking chocolate.

Had a distinctive, great sweet flavor that i noticed right away. And stayed present in a good way throughout.

NO can date
Pours a med foamy frothy almost 1 finger tan head with moderate retention, sticky lacing, very dark almost black color

Nose brings nice roasted malts, some dark chocolate, cocoa, a little biscuity wafer cookie, thick layers of chocolate, and a bit of coffee

Taste starts with more rich dark chocolate, cocoa, some bitter roasty malts getting close to burnt but not quite there, a bit of over roasted coffee, a little wafer cookie as well with some mild baking spices from the dark malts, some bitterness from the roasted malts as well, and then some spicy hops kick in, starting at a med bitterness and gradually increasing to a med-high bitterness on the finish, making me want to take the next sip

Mouth is med bod, med to a bit lighter carb

Overall this was definitely "robust" style porter, quite bitter and roasty, glad to see they got so much flavor and body from a low abv session beer, quite enjoyable for winter session drinking

Pours black with a nice but short-lived tan head. Nice round dark malt aroma, chocolate and coffee. The flavor is more roasty with some ashiness and light astringency. It's pretty thin with fairly active carbonation. Decent but too thin and roast-astringent for my tastes.

Deep brown color. Light passes easily through the edges of the glass. Blanketing lace from the modest head. Lasting beige film of bubbles throughout the tasting.

The smell features semisweet chocolate and powdered cocoa.

The flavor starts with deeply toasted sweet chocolate malt. The body is appropriate for the style as is the carbonation. There's a subtle hop bitterness in the swallow, creating a balanced aftertaste where the cocoa seems to win in terms of lingering flavor.

On-tap at Rail Trail in Hudson. Session Porter with Imperial Porter flavor. Super rich, roasty, and creamy. Great finish and feel, especially for the supposedly light approach. Tons of roasted malt, chocolate, and a bit of coffee. Everything you want in this style. Could serve as a great breakfast beer on the weekends.

Had on tap at Seymour in Greenfield. The beer had a dark brown head and a black appearance. The aromas included roasty malts and chocolate. Flavors I could sense with the taste included chocolate, vanilla, and creamy coffee. The beer was light and creamy while refreshing thanks to a good carbonation balance. Overall, excellent across the board, especially with its appearance and aromas.
