Can. Italia style! My people! Pours a really watery yellow color. Very faint color. It's surprisingly a bit hazy though. Only like a 3.1 on the Haze-o-Meter⢠but it's still pretty foggy for a Pilsner. Almost no head. Interesting looking; Kinda like watered down yellow Gatorade⢠. I was interested because I think Saphir hops are a pretty new varietal. So this is a new age Pils for sure. The nose is very light so I don't think I would notice that the hops were very new-age unless told on the packaging. I suppose it is a bit fruitier that the standard Pils. Aside from that, it's a super tame smell. Like too mild. Flavor is pretty nice though. The Saphir hops are the lead dog. The flavor is almost all about the hops but it isn't absurdly hoppy. Rather, it's a mellow tasting beer that highlights this somewhat grassy, somewhat citrusy/limey hop. It's fairly refreshing. The body is light as dust and the carb is on the lower end. Not your traditional Pilsner but not necessarily a bad thing. Didn't exactly expect this.
