This isn't a West Coast IPA and doesn't claim to be. This is a run of the mill IPA. Good but not great. Something you can bring to a BBQ and the non-IPA drinkers would find drinkable.
Had on tap at Little Woodrows in Katy. Poured a deep gold color with smallish head that dissipated quickly. Smell was faint wet grass and slight citrus. Taste was very slight hops and pine. Very smooth which is unlike an IPA. Not big burst of hops here but a pleasant touch. I enjoyed this IPA and would drink again. I would like more Citra and Mosaic hops (cliche I know) or beef up the Amarillo hops to get that citrus/floral kick. But not too much. This IPA has potential! It just needs a little boost.
I'll def be drinking again!

On tap, I wasn't extremely impressed with this IPA. I felt like it was more on the bitter end of things and that there weren't enough citrus and piney flavors from the hops. Better than some local IPA's, but I don't know if I would want to have this again as is. Since all new breweries are going to go through some start-up pains, I'll definitely be revisiting.

On tap at the brewery.
A: Pours a hazed copper/orange color. A one finger white head forms and recedes in a minute. Light lace is left behind. Hey, they actually have head retention here.
S: Pale malts, resiny hops and slightly piny. orange and grapefruit rind. An average west coast IPA, which enjoyable for what it is.
T: Like the nose, pale grainy and cereal like malts. Pine, orange and grapefruit, lingering bitterness. There is actually some definition here. Not the best wet coast style IPA, but something I would get again.
M/O: A light body with some light effervescent bite. Still pretty watery, but almost a crisp bite. Fairly average but something I could come back to.
Maybe the only thing at the brewery I would come back to. As is, a fairly average IPA, but passable.
