Pours a reddish tinged dark brown color. Fizzy, soda like head appears then disappears on the top of the beer. The top of the beer dances with carbonation even after the head disappears like a soda. There also appears to be debris floating and suspended in the beer.

Aroma has notes of tart cherries, chocolate, cocoa, a little coconut, and some milk chocolate.

The taste has lots of roasted malts, some ash and charr with just subtle hints of cherries, a bit of cinnamon, coconut and cocoa. It is decidedly not as sweet as I was expecting from this one. There is a bit of alcohol heat coming through in this one.

Feel is fizzy, spritzy and a bit rough. Fuller bodied.

Overall it is an okay beer - it is like it is not sure what it is, and as a result ends up being neither a good pastry stout nor a good adjuncted stout
