Drank on key lime pie day.

16 oz can allowed to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes and poured into a tulip glass.

Pours a hazy, somewhat dull apricot color with a 1/2 finger fuzzy white head, dissipating quickly and leaving minimal lacing.

Initial aroma is pure, fresh, and pungent lime juice with notes of fresh pomegranate and raspberry. After agitating the lime remains, but what presents is a bitter, salty, and lightly dry sea breeze.

Initial taste before swallowing is very sour and tart (not the same thing), quickly and vigorously puckering my cheeks. A taste/fume in the back of the mouth very similar to blue raspberry sour candy is revealed later. After swallowing it's overwhelmingly sour and tart with some salt, puckers the lips slightly, too. Taste is lime juice and zest, with notes of lemon juice, raspberry, and blue raspberry sour candy. Noteworthy is that on the inhale, a sensation of yogurt bacteria is present, being shy in the remainder of the process. The aftertaste is overall mild, comprised almost entirely of lime zest, a hint of lime oil taste, and a hint of yogurt bacteria taste.

Mouthfeel is again similar to lime or lemon juice. It's juicy, wet, and gushes effortlessly. Quenching is an adjective that does it justice. Honestly though, it's not what I usually want in a beer, I'm sorry, it just sort of bores me a little. That won't affect my scoring however, as I realize it's good. This is the kind of sour that hurts my teeth and erodes my enamel. Taste is good, but not a pleasant experience.

Overall I'm a little torn. This for me was somewhat unenjoyable due to my sensitive enamel, regardless of what the flavors achieved. It must be said that the magnitude of flavor is sky high, as well as precise, I feel it's very nicely executed, despite my clash with it. I drank it on key lime pie day (September 26) but that didn't let it live up to it's full potential, this would crush on a hot sunny mid-day. Has the potential to seriously scratch a specific itch. The reason for the overall rating being lower is I found myself not enjoying it much, despite realizing it being good. I understand it's good but it's not one I want to drink more of.

Not one I'll buy again, but definitely glad to have tried it!
