Limited barrel run from Crane. Only served in the tap room in 5oz pours into a Teku glass.
Pours jet black with a fizzy caramel-colored head. Head dissipates quickly with only a few dots of lacing left behind. Aroma is simply whiskey, barrel, with a sour twist. Despite the difference in notes, it's not a stark contrast. Flavor profile follows the nose with whiskey and barrel opening up - nice. As the barrel starts to subside a little, the beer twists into a slightly sour finish. Mouth feel is fizzy, and medium thick. Overall, an interesting beer that blends whiskey and sour well. It's certainly an interesting and entertaining beer.
