Pours a translucent plum red with a finger of off white head. Head retention is poor. Aroma is boysenberry, blueberry, tart cherries, stone, lemon zest and lightly sour. Flavor profile is boysenberry, blueberry, tart cherry, plum, stone and lemon zest. There is a very lightly raw grain quality to it, but it fizzles and fades away quickly. It has a little bit of a medicinal berry quality, which dulls the experience a little. Thankfully, the medicinal quality fizzles as the beer warms a little. Mouth feel is lightly still, with a silty grain around the edges of the tongue. It has a medium thickness. Overall, thick with berries, this lightly tart beer is refreshing, but oddly sweet.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegalau tulip from a 375mL bottle.

Bottle. Poured out a murky, brown color with reddish highlights and a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of tart boysenberry, white grapes and oak. Tart boysenberry favor with green grapes and a wine-like aftertaste.
