Pours black with a finger and a half of caramel-colored foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is green pepper, coffee, chocolate and toasty, caramely, earthy malts. Green pepper is a bit of a disappointment. Flavor profile pushes more green pepper, coffee and ash. There is a hint of chocolate at the end, but not enough to balance it out. Toasty, caramely, roasty malts add a little depth. Mouth feel starts velvety with a medium-thin consistency. It breaks apart on the tongue, finishing in a watery-thin state. Overall, an in-cohesive coffee porter that brings about a little too much green pepper.

On tap. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It smelled of coffee, chocolate and toffee. Nice roasted coffee taste with caramel, chocolate and toffee.
