Pours black with a finger of khaki foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is chocolate, molasses, raisins, toffee and roasty, toasty, earthy malts. Flavor profile is big and deep, hitting notes of roasty, toasty, earthy, caramely malts and toffee, raisins, chocolate, cocoa powder and vanilla bean. Mouth feel is thick with a velvety, creamy consistency that adds a lot of presence. Overall, deep, complex and sugary, while remaining remarkably well balanced.
