Pours burgundy-brown with two fingers of off-white foam. Aroma is caramel, fig, bread, and mild toffee. It's almost abrasive in force. Slight booziness. Flavor profile is caramel, fig, soft toffee, and strong resin and herbal hops. Hops turn towards medicinal at finish. Hops linger past the initial sweetness and malts. Mouth feel is medium-thick. Texture is fuzzy, with alcohol stalling it out at the end. Overall, big and bold. Boozy for the low-ish ABV. Hop forward barleywine.
