This is a sports bar. It'd definitely be a good place to watch a game of any sport.
The food was average at best, and no signs of any locally sourced foods.
The atmosphere was a sports bar.
The beers were below average and the ones our group had were not very good.

Fort Collins now has two CB and Potts locations, but the original, on Elizabeth just west of CSU's campus, is still the one I prefer. The restaurant is typical but exemplifies some of the better sports bars and grills you can visit, with plenty of HDTV screens, wacky things hanging from the ceiling, including a giant shark last time I was there, multiple levels, with the usual restaurant tables and booths on the main level along with its main bar. On the top level is a giant TV screen good for meetups and parties along with another bar.

The food is your typical bar and grill fare, with plenty of fried, grilled, and heavy goodness, along with some of the usual pub favorites. Think of Chili's or Applebee's, where you can get decent food, though nothing really jumps out as setting it high above other restaurants. The beer selections is also decent, though its lineup has never been my favorite in town.

Across the parking lot is the actual Big Horn Brewery building, itself equipped with tables and a bar for a more "night out" feeling.

While not always a "must visit" destination, CB and Potts is still a solid place to visit for the good atmosphere, decent beer, and tasty, high calorie food. Because sometimes you're just in the mood for that.

The atmosphere was nice. We sat outside and the weather was good. The waitress was slow, but we were not in a hurry. I got the sampler and overall it was a good selection of beer. They had 6 beers on tap and about half were high quality, the others above average. The food was top notch. I had a salad and it was great, but I took bites of some of the wife's dish and it was decadent. Good fries from what I stole off the kids's plate too. Overall a great atmosphere, reasonable price, great food, and acceptable quality of beer. Its a chain, but a damn good one.

A pub/restaurant kind of place. The main building seats about ten thousand, with big screens and sports on 24/7, with a cool little pool hall place across the way with live music sometimes. Never really tried the food, so I can't attest, but the beer is mediocre on a good day. The blonde is decent, and I remember the porter being pretty good, but other than that, their brews are largely forgettable. Service is okay, it's a busy college bar. Come here with your rowdy friends during a CSU homegame, get drunk on so-so beer and fight a frat boy. All the cool kids are doing it, or so it seems.

Went here with a group of frinds. When walking into the restraunt proportion of the establisment. When ordering the drinks the server was quick to begin with but started to fall behind as she had to deal with food and drinks. The beer itself was outstanding and great compliments to the food served. However the food itself seemed done incorrectly. One of the dishes ordered was Supreme Nachos in which lots of toppings but little to no chips. When asked for more salsa it was brought to us after another guy ordered more blue cheese and it was delivered prior to the salsa. Otherwise a good environment for enjoying a beer.

We stopped in here last week. I really enjoyed the beers and the large glasses they are served in. The menu selection is somewhat limited, there were burgers and other basic pub food. I had a burger and it was very tasty with avocado :) And the avocado was fresh and good (often times people don't know good avocados...) We tried the bread pudding for desert, and I'd recommend they get a better recipe...

I had 2 beers, I remember the Butt-face amber, and it was very good, very red, and hoppy. We went there with my husband's family.

The waitress was dumb though. She didn't know the menu well enough to help with desert questions (don't restaurants usually push deserts?) My mother-in-law was curious about a minty desert drink and the waitress was clueless, I jokingly said it was 50/50 tequila and peppermint schnopps (YUCK!!!) and she said, "oh, is that it-okay!" and Jennifer (mother-in-law) insisted otherwise and got a menu (thankfully) and we sat there giggling....

Fort Collins seems like it has more than its fair share of breweries for the size of town it is. Being there for a conference, I tried to hit a few of the places while I was there, including Potts.

It's located just a few blocks west of the CSU campus. It wasn't too much of a madhouse in the summer, but I'd be interested to see how the crowd changes when school is in session.

I wasn't impressed with the interior appointments or atmosphere...it is also a sports bar, with multiple televisions in view from almost any spot on the main floor. Definitely a CSU sports supporter, with paraphernalia all over.

I tried a few of their beers. Wasn't impressed by the Buttface Amber. The IPA and Porter weren't bad, through.

One thing I was impressed with was the amount of customer loyalty/deals that that they run. If you go at the right time, the beer can be pretty cheap.

I think they had about ten taps of their own beer. Their summer seasonals were weighted on the lager side, which surprised me. I was encouraged to see lager experimentation, but unfortunately didn't get back to try any of them.

Potts is a worthy stop in Fort Collins. I'll probably visit it again if I'm back in the area.

A good sized building with four different levels, an outside area and a clubhouse/pool hall in a separate building. The walls show a variety of different CSU and local High School sports memorabilia. And a big giant clock (not sure what that’s for). They have a variety of different beers which are made on site. I believe that it is similar in all of their locations.

For beer selections, they have a amber, a hefe, a golden ale, a IPA and a porter. Nothing outstanding flavor wise but everyone of them is above average. In my college days I really enjoyed the Buttface amber.

For food they stayed within the classical American style. Their burgers were awesome. My favorite was their Guacamole Burger. They had good nachos too. For the non-beer drinkers they had different flavored Long Island Tees that were really good. On Tuesday’s they use to have $2 specials but they kind of watered them down. Any other day or if you get to know the bartender, they will make really good.

Potts is a must stop if you are staying in the area. Whenever I visit I always come back for the food and the beer.
