I had this beer on nitro tap in an imperial pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: black hue with a thick finger of creamy tan foam. Nitro never disappoints!
Smell: lightly grainy with a little roast. Mild but nice.
Taste: mild and dry with a nice roasty finish. Balanced and subtle; a good example of the style.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess. Nitro provides a great look but it's not always great for the texture.
Overall: this is a good example of the style, with perhaps a little more roast than is typical. But I like it.
