Poured from a growler into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very hazy golden amber with a half finger white head with great retention and light lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt, citrus hops with moderate dankness, grapefruit, light tropical fruit, particularly pineapple. Flavor is pale malt, citrus, lightly piney hops, lemon and grapefruit, guava, pineapple, light stone fruit. Finishes with more fruit and nice herbal hop flavors. Medium bodied with a nice light creaminess. A very fruit forward IPA with the great fresh herbal hop flavors that are present in fresh hopped ales. The fruit flavors are complex and interesting, covering the tropical and citrus spectrum, but still manage to be well integrated. The malt is supportive, but stays in the background with little flavor of its own. Fresh hop flavors throughout the taste. Not intensely hop bitter, but the hops are the show here. Interesting and flavorful hop bill. Nicely done by this local brewery that I'm way overdue to review. I'll be paying more attention to their IPA offerings in the future.
