I used to love the fall pumpkin beers, but after Elysian sold out, I quit drinking them. Now Steve Luke's Cloudburst brings back a beer that evokes both Night Owl and Great Pumpkin. You can have your pumpkin beer without AB/InBev.
The beer is light amber with a modest head. The aroma is mostly cinnamon. The taste is similar, with the pumpkin, of course. The body is fairly light. This is an ale, not a stout.
Overall, it's a good example of the style. Those of you who dis pumpkin beers should of course skip this, but those who remember the old days should get yourselves down to Cloudburst.
