Pours a translucent yellow with a finger of white foam. Great head retention. Aroma pilsner malt, spicy hops, yeast ester, smoke, and a touch of clean peat. Flavor profile is yeast easter, pilsner, bready malts, spicy hops, and smoked meat. Mouth feel is soft, creamy with a fuzzy, foaming texture. Overall, a great smoked beer. Very approachable with the smoke playing a key role without overtaking the beer.

Light body was crisp and clear. Minimal head, minimal lacing.

Nose had a pleasant level of smoke, some umami and light malts.

Umami and smoke again, with the hops joining in a bit more... some light grassiness, some spice. Creamy malts underneath.

Smoothe creamy body. Lingering earthy finish.

This is a just about perfect level of smoke to me. Really well done.
