citra, nelson, and idaho 7, this is a gem, its what has made them famous, and its just delicious, better than what pretty much everyone else is doing in the style. it pops like some of the big dry hoppy hazy ones from say an other half on the other side of the country, but this feels more refined, delicate, less sweet and dense, and equally robust on the hops, it really is ahead of its class, and the hop combination on this one is money. for me the nelson really leads the way, with obvious summery white wine notes, kiwi fruit, and melon, followed by a peach and apricot thing and a botanical layer, the idaho 7 and citra are also recognizable in here, and the flavor is almost as brilliant as the nose, with the hops there all the way through, almost crystalline and concentrated, pineapple notes, tangerine rind, subtle vanilla and coconut too somehow, tropical but grounded by the idaho 7 aspect and these grains, which have a light starchy texture and a soft cereal taste. its simple but cleaner than most, expertly refined, dry hopped to oblivion but not even a little bit green, and just a fantastic beer overall. long flavors, pure freshness, high carbonation, all hazy ipa should be this good!
