really not sure what to call this one of a kind and super heady brew, i guess the base is sort of a pale, at least it has some pale malt in it, dry hopped with hallertau blanc, but thats not all, not even close. its brewed with lemon and lime zest, and then infused with a house made tonic that has some lemongrass in it as well, pretty crazy process, pretty insane beer, i loved it, and have never had anything quite like it. it was a cool first beer to drink when i got to their brewery, a place i have long dreamed about visiting, immediately lived up to the hype with this! the lemon and lime are strong in the nose and taste, natural but hugely dosed, almost gives this the impression of being a sour beer, with some bitterness and acidity coming through. the hops have some cool herbal notes that marry in incredibly well with the lemongrass element, which together have their moment in the middle of this. the tonic aspect is crazy, really does taste like a craft tonic water, with that quinine intensity and late bitterness, herbal and earthy too though, somehow super clean, it loves the hops and the citrus in here, this is such a flavorful and thoughtful beer. it drinks a little bit intense, insanely drying on the palate with some pithy and bitter double jeopardy, but the freshness and the flavors are crazy good in here, and there is enough from the malt that this still taste more like beer than a mixed drink. really cool beer, these guys really impressed me when i visited!
