I had this beer on-tap in a mug at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA.
Appearance: thickly hazy dark-yellow hue with a finger of compact ivory foam which leaves a thick lace on the glass. Attractive!
Smell: quite orangey with a little bit of grapefruit, and not much sweetness. Kind of like a hazy IPA but with a West Coast sensibility.
Taste: piney, orangey, grapefruity and a bit herbal in character. Sweetness is relatively low and bitterness is relatively high -- it really does highlight the "west coast hazy" idea, and I rather like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a moderate carbonation and a decent creaminess.
Overall: this beer isn't sweet enough to be super juicy, but it's still quite drinkable, if a bit piercing. A good quaff.
