truth be told i had no idea these guys were canning until one of these showed up on my doorstep one night courtesy of a friend passing through, so glad they are, this is one of the best hoppy beers i have had in months and a downright brilliant expression of this hot new hop that everyone seems to have simultaneously fallen for. softly hazy really pale yellow and insanely frothy headed from the can, no visible sediment but fuller looking, and great retention and lace on this, gorgeous in my globe. unique fruitiness from the strata, honeydew, kiwi, lemongrass, faint vanilla and green grape too, not appreciable bitterness at all, both in aroma and flavor all of this is here, its immaculately fresh and maxed out in terms of intensity, but has absolutely zero greenness or bite to it, impressive, i love the refinement in a hazy, its so rare unfortunately, and this really is what these guys do best. i forget how much i actually like hazy ipa until i have one this good, sad but true, so much mediocre beer out there in this field that when a good one like this hits, it really stands out. a real juicy fleshy texture to this, like ripe papaya, fluffy too from what is likely some wheat, and really clean on the ferment. the hops are drippy and awesome in here, but the beer also has some nice balance from the dry cereal character of the malt, almost a rawness that supports the hops in a cool way. carbonation here is high and uplifting too, which i love in this style. this is amazingly dynamic for a single varietal, and overall an exceptionally well executed hazy, one of the best i have had in 2020 when i think about it. really well done, these guys seem to be worthy of the hype around them, at least in my limited experience drinking their stuff...
