a pretty standard cream ale here, with a little bit of yeast character and a cold conditioned vibe, crisp like a lager, but not boring yellow beer either, quite well made, my first beer from these guys in years. its blonde in color and has a nice head on it, even in a plastic cup from a bar that doesnt allow glass outside. not much of an aroma to it, just some simple pale malt and a light corny aspect, but its not short on flavor at all, straw and crackers up front from the grain, a rising dough element to the yeast, and a dry breadiness, dried flowers and lightly bitter hops at the end, nice and light and drinkable, but with some flavor contribution from all three main ingredients, which is nice in a simple light beer like this. i like that craft has taken to cream ale lately, its nice to have something like this popping up a little more frequently as a change of pace from all the dry hopping. really high carbonation here, good dryness, and a beer i could (and did) basically chug. the people of big sky seem to have really taken to these guys, and i can see why. from a quality standpoint, this is very good.
