Tapped at Glory Days Grill in Linthicum Heights Maryland about a mile outside of BWI airport.
One word- chocolate
Good mouthfeel, lingers on the back of the tongue and it is quite tasty. Did not taste the spiciness described in other reviews, perhaps the keg needs a changin. I would drink one again.

On tap:
Quite dark brown body supports a very light beige head. Lacing is moderate to above average.
Nose has a near burnt rye bread impression to it. It’s moderate and has a little bit brown in it as well.
Taste is along the lines of a straight porter that leans regular stout out of the gate. A light pine lies in hiding until mid taste, and comes out then. The rye aspect kinda mingles with this in back, as the roasted malt maintains a little char through the end.
Decently robust flavors on a not-too-heavy offering. Bitter with malt and hops, seemingly, but not overpowering. A nice offering.

This pours a pretty translucent mahogany with a persistent finger of tan head. Nose is interesting, with the spicy rye and malt upping the complexity.
I like a few different things here. First, a melange of chocolate malts and brisk, bitter hops that kind of skim along at 5.5% while delivering a lot of flavor. Also, the texture threads the needle like a seven year old recently off training wheels: unsteady but ultimately pretty well.

Draught pint at The Brass Tap in Baltimore. FWIW - I did detect more than a hint of rye "spiceness"

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of roasted malts, hints of coffee. Taste is roasted malts, coffee, some smokiness, easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer, although I got very little of the rye in the name.

$ 1.84 (Including tax and Beer club discount)/12 oz can ($ 0.154/oz) at State Line Liquors, Elkton, MD.
Can dated 11/22/16 at 42 degrees, served at 45 - 54 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Aroma – chocolate. Fades over the course of consumption.
Head large (Maximum 6.3 cm, aggressive pour), tan, low density froth, average retention diminishing to a frothy three to five mm ring and a thin partial layer.
Lacing – poor. Just a rare tiny island.
Body – dark brown/black, opaque.
Flavor – begins with some chocolate and some malt bitterness. Not detecting any rye. No alcohol, no hops, no diacetyl. The bitterness demonstrates an average hang time.
Palate medium, almost creamy, soft carbonation.
Not a very exciting porter, just solid. The can gives info on the type of yeast, grain, and hops used. A good deal for the price.
Appearance 3.75, Aroma 4, Flavor 3.75, Palate 3.75, Overall 3.5.

From the tap at DuClaw, Bel Air, MD. Very dark, almost black with a small off white head. Coffee and a bit of roast malt in the nose. Similar taste. Enjoyable.
