Clear ruby appearance with a small off white head and modest lacing. Aroma hits the right notes with the toasty malts while the hops stay in the background. Herbal, floral hops come more into focus in the taste but do not dominate. Malts remain the main attraction. Bitterness is not a big factor although it does play a role in the aftertaste. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel.

12 oz can poured into a snifter. Pours dark copper/orange with a moderate off-white head. Aroma and flavor feature caramel and biscuit malt with some bitter/earthy hops. A tasty and decent marzen but not quite hitting all the style marks.

12 ounce can poured into a tumbler style pint glass.
Dark copper and mostly clear with almost two fingers of khaki foam atop. The head is lasting and leaves a bit of lace. There is a sugary cola aroma with small amounts of bread and spice as well. Taste is semi-sweet with a dry finish, bitterness is moderate, toast some caramel and woody hop flavor are prominent. The medium body is soft and finishes crisp. Decent marzen.

I love it when the person who adds a beer also reviews it! Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a pretty, bronze/amber color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, malty. Taste is also mild, malts, bready, little else. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall it's decent, but nothing special.
