Look: It pours very dark brown with a brown head. Head retention is low.
Smell: It has a sweet touch that is a bit perfume like with the roast that also includes coffee. There are very low plum elements with hints of bourbon.
Taste: The dark fruits pop a bit more in the flavor with prunes and plums. It has roast and coffee. There is a smooth interaction with the bourbon. There are also background notes of dried cherries.
Feel: It is quite smooth with pleasant alcohol warming.
Overall, it has a complex combination of malts and esters with the bourbon complementing the presentation quite well.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1 inch head. Smell is mostly of whiskey, some bourbon and a bit of chocolate. Taste is whiskey, bourbon, light hops, alcohol is present. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid but unspectacular beer.
