Celebration strong lager that's all about the malt. A transitional beer for the coming warmer months!

12 oz can into Tulip glass.

Decent malt character going on here, but it really lacks the hop punch I was hoping for. The description the brewery gives doesn't even mention hops despite their importance to the style. Drinks more like a bock. Even though Dead Guy isn't a lager, I still think it's a better example of the style, and really what all Maibocks should be comparing themselves to in the U.S.

12 oz can poured into a willi becher glass (probably the most underrated beer glass IMO). Pours a medium copper color with a fluffy head. Aroma and flavor feature sweet biscuity malt, caramel malt, and light citrusy hops with some bitterness. Sweeter than I was expecting, but very tasty nevertheless. A great change of pace from my usual IPAs/sours/stouts.

Appearance: Clear amber body, large off white head, light lacing.
Aroma: Malt focused, moderately sweet, a bit spicy.
Taste: Malts remain dominant. Limited hop profile. Little bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, lightly carbonated; dry finish.
Overall: Smooth and clean, free of adjuncts, soft on the palate.
