Draught pint at The Brass Tap here in Baltimore: Is this just this season's version of their rye Porter? It is STILL Very Good. [For tasting notes refer to my reviews of previous editions]

A 12 oz can poured I to a glass beer mug.
Color of this American Rye Porter is dark brown, the tan head is a little on the fizzy side and doesn’t last. The scant foam ring remaining doesn’t yield much lacing.
Fragrance is of roasted caramelized malt and hops. The smell of rye malt is perceivable, but not dominant.
Flavor is predominantly of sweet roasted and caramelized malt, the rye malt flavor pairs well with the hops selection and adds a little tang and bitterness on the tongue. Hints of coffee, dark chocolate and molasses notes round out the experience. This Rye Porter is very enjoyable and drinkable, a smooth beer.
I will definitely look for it to have again.
