This IPA is reddish in color, with enough malt backbone to balance the forward citrus and pine hop character. We used simcoe and chinook hops giving this a very classic hop profile.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours an amber red color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, very slowly fading to leave a tons of nice foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of a roasted malt and caramel smell. Along with these aromas comes a little bit of citrus and pine.
Taste- The taste begins with a toasted bready flavor that has some caramel and a bit of toast. Upfront there are some lighter pine hop tastes that grow ever so slightly more potent as the taste advances. Tastes of a citrus hop and some sweeter orange come to the tongue as the taste moves forward. At the end, some earth and herbal hop joins in, and with an increase in the roasted and toast tastes, one is left with a slightly dank and roasty taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly thicker side with a carbonation level that is slightly lower. For the roasty and dank hop tastes the feel is quite nice and creates a big media for the flavors of the brew to reside on.
Overall –A nice hoppy red/amber IPA. It has a good hit of dank hop to match the lighter caramel and roasted/toasted flavors nicely. Overall a pretty tasty brew.
