Highlander Beer

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a small white head of foam. The head fades rather fast leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is very light overall, consisting of just a little bit of toasted malt and caramel and a tiny bit of bread and orange citrus.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice blend of lightly toasted bready malt along with a little bit of caramel sweetness. The caramel gets slightly stronger in nature as the taste moves forward all while some other flavors of light herbal and citrus hop come to the tongue. Toward the end a little bit of hay and some light herb comes to the tongue to leave a rather pleasant and quite lightly hopped pale ale taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather normal. For the style and tastes it’s rather good and makes it a very easy drinking brew.
Overall – An alright and easy drinking brew overall, but all said, nothing all that exceptional.
