juicy and fresh and fairly easy down, a nice hazy for warmer weather, a good if somewhat familiar hop profile. not green or biting, i feel like the quality here has come up recently. the color is richer than yellow but lighter than orange, a bit of density to it but the haze is even and the head is wispy and white from the tap with good retention and some web lacing. the aroma here is sort of peachy with lemon candy and grassiness there too, some bitterness to which i like, some light sweetness in the grain, some wheaty character, lightly toasted, just a half step more to it than i generally prefer, but it doesnt make the beer heavy. the flavor is great, hop freshness on point, definite lemon, cut flowers, daffodil, key lime, dehydrated mango, and a little more of that peach thing from the aroma. its got a canned fruit cocktail thing as it warms, middle of the road bitterness which suits it, and a little biscuity richness in the malt without it interfering with the hops really. smooth to drink on with adequate carbonation and a late spiciness that lingers a little. tidy on the ferment and overall very well proportioned and with nice flow. its hard to say this is crazy original or anything because it really isnt, but the beer quality is great, and this certainly scratched the itch for me over the weekend. good to see these guys trending up!
