i didnt find this one real german, not as malt forward and quintessentially old worldy in both grain and yeast as the best of these, but i did find it real delicious, and i dont wish it were more robust with german elements, i like it as it is, refreshing in hot weather, real drinkable, clear and polished looking, good with fried food, probably good with just about anything to eat, one of the lightest ive had from these guys so far, very summery and repeatable. its insanely clean in nose and taste, minimal but not missing anything, still somehow complete, like light as it is, its not all the way neutral either, the yeast is a defining element, crackery and fast on the palate, drying, this thing is crackling and almost instantly gone on the swallow, hops pop up there too late, but nobody would call this bitter or hoppy outright, to me its just in balance, real light fruitiness even a lime hint there, but also noble aspects too, best of both worlds in a very soft voice with the hops. the flavor is concentrated, still lightly, into a very quick moment in the middle, and the freshness really shows, like brand new, absurdly bright, effervescent carbonation too so its just a joy to drink on, could have a dozen pints effortlessly. the freshness is evident in the malt too, its awesome. lighter and not quite what i would expect from a classically styled helles, but i love what they did with this, way more personality than just a yellow macro type, but not real european either. this rules, one of my favorites ive had from them frankly, although theyve all been trending up in the last year or so, absolutely rock solid lager here, i need another one!

Draft at the Handlebar. Clear golden pour, small foamy head. Light grainy aroma, fresh bread. Taste is malty, biscuity, crisp. Smooth summer quencher.
