The West Coast IPA version, Green Couch is in many ways a very modern IPA. The same hop bill as Red Couch of Cashmere, Citra and Bru-1 dispalys plenty of accented tropical fruit and melon notes but the citrus aspect of the hop bill is amped up when in West Coast form.
We have upped the bitterness from our recent West Coast IPAs on this one and combined with a slightly drier finish, we feel drinkability and overall hop sensation has been enhanced a as a result. The same sleek malt base as Left which has the tiniest touch of the lightest of caramel malts give a kiss of sweetness that enahnces those resinous qualities we love in this type of IPA.

Pours a cloudy, golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, slightly caramelly malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of pineapple, mango and grapefruit, as well as some herbal and resinous accents. Taste is a great balance of biscuity, slightly caramelly malt and fruity, bitter, herbal, resinous and slightly spicy hops, with tropical and citrus notes of pineapple, mango, grapefruit and lime peel, as well as some lemongrass, peppery spice and pine. Finishes with a medium/strong bitterness and some pineapple, lime peel, pine and herbal accents lingering in the aftertaste.
This makes for a somewhat unusual, but rather nice West Coast IPA that's certainly bitter and resinous, but also quite herbal and spicy, with those herbal/spicy notes actually being a bit more distinct than the typical resinous pine here, while some zesty citrus and musty tropical notes and ever so slightly caramelly malt round things out nicely. It may not be quite your typical West Coast IPA, but it's just that unique approach which makes this so enjoyable in its own way. Personally, I really like that herbal and spicy character which works great with the resinous bitterness here, while those fruity notes and light caramel malt provide a bit of sweetness for balance.

De Labirratorium. En copa Teku. Jugando a Fortnite y The Medium. Correcta pero a garage se le exige más. Les ha quedado demasiado suave en lo referente a las notas resinosas propias del estilo
