The contrast series steps up a gear with this West Coast DIPA. We've always been a big fan of Centennial hops and this year we received our first lots of Crosby Hop Farms Centennial and from the minute we opened the first bag for a rub we were blown away. This stuff is like good Centennial on steroids. Bringing notes of caramelised orange and grapefruit slices, boiled citrus sweets, sticky marijuana and even a touch of guava like tropical fruit we felt this hop would be very versatile and fit both West coast and Hazy IPA styles perfectly. Combined with piney, dank and slightly creamy Simcoe and herbal, grapefruit Cascade the hop profile on this one should please the old and new school heads out there.

Pours a cloudy, golden amber coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, slightly caramelly malt and resinous, citrus hops. Taste is a great balance of biscuity, slightly caramelly malt and fruity, resinous, spicy and slightly dank and herbal hops, with citrus and much lighter tropical notes of grapefruit, orange rind and mango, as well as some resinous pine and peppery weed also coming through. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grapefruit and pine lingering in the aftertaste, Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While the "West Coast" IPAs that I've had from Garage so far have always felt more like West Coast/New England hybrids, I'd say that this finally is a proper WCIPA, being quite bitter and resinous, while I also really love the quite dank and spicy, accents to this that go very well with the sticky resin and good bitterness in the finish. While there are hints of tropical fruit in there somewhere, it's mostly focussed on the citrus notes, with quite distinct grapefruit and some zesty orange rind. Overall, while it could still be a bit more bitter for my personal taste, this makes for quite an enjoyable, bitter, dank and resinous WCIPA with distinct citrus notes and a good body and mouthfeel.

De Labirratorium. En copa Shaker de Garage. Un perfil lupulado curioso, con notas entre florales, cítricas y a coco que lo que hacen es animar a beberla más rápido de lo aconsejable por su abv
