As we are celebrating all things Soup, our flagship IPA, we have taken that recipe, boosted it up a degree in alcohol and increased the dry hoppping rate by adding a third distinctive hop to give a fresh take on our classic. This version gets one of the most unique and sought after hops in the world; New Zealands Nelson Sauvin.
It can be a love it or hate it hop but those that like it, love it for it's incredibly pungent notes of gooseberry, passion fruit and unique wine like character. Adding this to the super tropical fruit fest that is Soup results in a unique IPA that is as complex on the nose as it is easy to drink.

Copenhagen 4/7 2022. 44 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Orange can with the name of the beer in big purple letters and a little green piece of lightning.
Pours opaque, hazy golden yellow with a big whitehead. Stable. Settles as a 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with sweet stone fruit mingling with citric, zesty notes. Peach and pineapple. Grapefruit and tart, sourish gooseberries. Dry vibe.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a tart twist. Lingers for a while. Finish is a tad vinous and dry.
A very nice Soup with a fine touch of dry white wine.

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and berry/citrus/tropical hops, with notes of white grape, gooseberry, grapefruit and mango. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly grassy and dank hops, with berry, citrus and tropical notes of white grape, gooseberry, grapefruit and mango, as well as just a hint of grassy weed. Finishes with a light bitterness and some gooseberry, mango and grapefruit lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is a great variation of their flagship NEIPA, with the Nelson Sauvin really coming through here distinctly with those somewhat acidic white grape and gooseberry notes, which are quite dominant here in relation to the sweeter tropical and zesty citrus notes. Still, there's a very nice overall balance to the flavor profile here, with a pleasant, light bitterness in the finish.
