fresh and flavorful and true to style bitter here, they really are doing a nice job with the english stuff, we loved this and the dark mild, cool to see those being done here in spain like this. the pour is pretty, rusty orange and glowing, maybe a little more bright and electric looking than most of these, and it holds more than an inch of light and wispy white head the whole drink, good looking glass of beer. nose and taste are the same, i like this being just a tad more hoppy than many, flavor and bitterness, english hops sure, but seemingly turned up a bit in the taste compared to what is traditional, moving this a step more modern but still staying true to style, nice touch. herbal and grippy at the end. the malt base seems simple, lightly toasted, and with just a little honey sweetness running through it. english yeast is spot on for this, nice fermentation overall, just like their dark mild. not a ton of depth to this, but there doesnt need to be, the beer is both hearty and refreshing at the same time, deeply satisfying but also highly drinkable, and i like the extra hops. i think these guys are doing a nice job trying to make these styles sexy again, update the beer slightly, make it look cool, and let the next generation discover the classics for themselves, thats the vibe i got on a lot of these here, cool stuff!
